Our lean-to shelters are designed

with the contemporary adventurer in mind

and are built using the traditional

log joinery of 18th century Scandinavia.

Floor sizes range from a cozy

8x12 feet (sleeps up to six persons), to a more spacious 10x16 feet. The roof decking is 1 inch thick rough-sawn pine or hemlock.

We recommend an anodized metal roof that comes in a variety of forest tone colors for our shelters.

From copper to asphalt, other roof options are available at an additional cost.

All of our log notching is scribed and joined with

careful attention to detail.

We hand-peel each log using axes, bark-spuds and draw-knives.

Durable Northern White Cedar

logs are used to construct the

walls and rafters, with White Spruce for the purlins.

Log diameters can vary from

6 to 8 inches for the roof

framing, and 8 to 12 inches

for the walls.
